I created this powerpoint while teaching NIGHT to help my students put a "face" to the people who suffered and died during the Holocaust. I chose to use pictures of women and children (not graphic) and brief excerpts about what happened to them because many of my students had only seen the same five or six images of the Holocaust and were unaware of how many women and children were involved. I have used this powerpoint for several years and I always show it in complete darkness and absolute quiet. Afterwards, I have students write a reflection piece about the images they have viewed. This is an excellent resource to help students understand the Holocaust on a personal level. The powerpoint is 27 slides with black and white images and brief descriptions of the children, what happened to them, etc.
