Schindler’s List – Reviewing a Review
This resource includes two activities that will give students the opportunity to read and analyze informational text in the form of a movie review of “Schindler’s List”. You do not have to show the movie “Schindler’s List” in order for students to use the resource.
1) ten questions that accompany an online review (by Roger Ebert) of the movie “Schindler’s List” (two ways of answering the questions are included: on the students’ own paper OR using the 2-page set of questions that have lined spaces for their answers);
2) a template that can be used for other reviews of the movie - this one is more general and asks students summarize informational text.
3) an answer key for the ten questions: students may supply various answers for some of the subjective questions.
Please note that due to copyright laws, online articles cannot be used in TPT resources. As a classroom teacher you are allowed to access, copy, and use them in your classroom to accompany activities for students. URLs are included in the resource.
