Holocaust Story with Questions - This 20 page package includes an engaging 2 and a half page story about a family's experience during the Holocaust; from being deported from a ghetto, to what it was like on the trains to the concentration camps and the arrival at a concentration camp. The story truly captures life in the earlier stages of the Holocaust.
The packages also includes a range of activities related to the story. Included the teacher will find a set of comprehension questions that require students to show their understanding of the story. Also included is a set of analysis questions that requires students to think critically in order to develop their ideas. As well, there is a set of vocabulary terms for students to consider. Both sets of questions come with a detailed teacher key.
The package also includes two assignments. First, the teacher will find a mapping assignment related to important cities and countries mentioned in the story and important to the events of the Holocaust. Second, the teacher will find a writing assignment that requires students to develop a perspective and utilize historical evidence related to the events of the Holocaust. Teacher keys and marking rubric are included in the package for the assignments.
