The Woman In Gold: The story of Maria Altmann's eight-year fight to reclaim 'Woman in Gold', a Klimt painting stolen from her family by the Nazis.
This movie is an excellent addition to your WWII/Holocaust units. A recent film (2015), it shows the hardships and discrimination of the early days of the Holocaust through flashbacks to the main character's youth in Austria. It also shows students how the events of so long ago are still impacting lives today.
The worksheet is 2 pages of questions (fill-in-the-blank, short answer and one longer answer) plus answer key. A good way to keep students focused on the film during viewing and taking it up is an effective way to review the specifics of the film.
NOTE: this file does not include the movie itself, but Woman in Gold is easy to access via iTunes.
