Are you a parent struggling with organising your home learning day? Are you a teacher who needs a method of time management for students while they are working at home?
Use this "Home Learning Schedule" to help your kids learn those all-important time management skills.
The best way to do this is:
1. Talk to your children (or encourage them to talk to their parents) about the things that need to get done each day. (Includes: school, physical activity, chores, play, free time, online classwork, independent reading, etc.)
2. Use the list they came up with to create a daily schedule.
3. At the end of the day, take five minutes with your children to reflect on their day - dud they accomplish everything they needed to? If yes, what helped them to do that? If not, why not?
Your kids will be more on task if they get to create their own schedule. Make sure to include plenty of free time and physical activity. Your kids might feel like they are on holiday, but they will appreciate the structure that they are missing from school - and you will too - Trust me!
This resource is completely editable - you can change the times and activities to suit your needs. You can even delete all the text and print off a blank one to handwrite if you prefer.
