Instead of having students record their minutes read every night, change it up and have them record their minutes of reading in a fun, exciting way that not only allows students to see the joy of reading, but encourages them to read to a variety of people, from a variety of sources in a variety of places. Students will see that reading can be done anywhere and with anyone, all it takes is a book and your imagination.
* A 4x4 grid, each cell contains a different home reading task
* 2 different designs for the border are included
* Blank spot for minutes allows you to set the expectation for the minimum number of minutes that must be read to be recorded.
I had parents put their signature over each cell to verify that their child had completed that reading task.
