Communicating between home and school can be difficult when children's communication skills may be limited. This home-to-school communicator makes life a little simpler for students who may be less verbal or non-verbal. It is great for students with autism, Asperger's, emotional/behavioral needs, or students working on improving life skills. The larger-sized fonts and Boardmaker pictures make it easy for students to read. It assists in creating language at home and at school; is a conversation-starter, and creates writing topics. It acts as a talking point between home and school.
Use: At school, teachers complete the "Today In school" side for parents to see at home. Then that same night, parents complete the "Tonight at home" side for teachers to see the next day at school.
It is effective if this document is copied two-sided (school on one side and home on the back) to keep track of 1 page per day.
