A fun way to motivate students to return their homework. Each day students complete their homework, they sign their names in a square. At the end of the week I pull two letters, one from the "HOMEWORK" and one from the "BINGO." If their name is in the box, they get a small prize such as a trip to the prize box or homework pass to use the next week. More than one student can put his/her name in a box as long as they can find space to write it in the box. I teach 4th grade and students have no issues writing their names in the small boxes even on a 8.5 x 11 sheet of paper so it takes no extra work on my part. This is something very simple that has been very effective and motivated for my students!
