In this compressed folder, you will find four documents you can use to help keep track of homework and one file explaining how I management the never ending paper flow in my classroom.
Each document is made for students to fill out when they don't have their homework. One is for students who didn't do their work and two others are for students who didn't have their work because they were absent. By filling out and signing these documents, students have to acknowledge that they are responsible for doing their work on time. It helps the teacher to remember why the student has a zero and it is a good paper trail to use in parent conferences so you can explain exactly why a student hasn't turned in his work on time.
The final document is a "grade inquiry form" for students who have questions about their grade. Instead of trying to answer these questions at inconvenient times when you don't really have the time to give a definite answer, the students fill out these forms and you follow up with them later, after you have had time to look into their questions.
