I created this guide to help students understand that they are in control of their destinies. I wanted them to recognize that we all have interruptions and frustrations, but if we make commitments to ourselves and find simple ways to reward our own efforts, we can accomplish tasks set before us.
How to use this guide:
- Talk students through it.
- Ask students to make goals based upon baseline behaviors (i.e. if they are doing zero homework right now, accept 10-15 minutes as a first goal).
- Let students fill it out.
- Check back with their progress.
