1 sheet of paper – 1 student – 1 week worth of homework
I created Homework Papersavers because our county has been in a budget crunch (who hasn't?) and we needed some homework for our first graders that was valuable and densely packed so as not to waste paper (again with the budget). But we wanted homework that went exactly along with what we were teaching, no fluff, no frills, just a little bit of quality practice each day. I got the idea that it would be great to be able to run homework for the week using only 1 sheet of paper per student. By shrinking the practice down to half page size and then laying it out to be run on both sides of the paper; I did just that.
These homework sheets provide practice with Common Core Standards and are designed for the 2nd quarter of first grade (weeks 10-18 of the school year). They cover sight words, short vowel u, consonant digraphs, addition and subtraction, commutative property, associative property and equality. They also spiral in some of the skills from the 1st quarter such as short vowels, numerals to 120 and counting by 5’s.
We've been using them at my school and love them. I think you will too. Couldn't be easier, 1 page per child per week.
