Homework Reading Time Record Sheets
Keeping track of a student's daily reading time can be a chore if you are trying to keep track using a daily return-to-school note system. I found the system contained in this resource to be easy and effective. Each child has a "Homework Folder" (plastic 3 pronged with two pockets). On the front I write "Homework Folder". Inside the folder on the left pocket I write "Keep" and on the right pocket I write "return". This helps the students and parents know what can be left home and what needs to be returned to school. I also put two clear plastic sheet protectors in each folder. This ”homework reading time record sheet" goes in one sheet protector, and the weekly progress monitor practice sheet goes in the other. The students turn in their progress monitor sheet each Friday, and the reading time sheet is returned at the end of the month (on the date indicated by the teacher on the monthly record sheet). If you don't use a homework folder, the record sheet can be hung on the child's refriger-ator where they can easily access it to color in the days they read for at least 15 minutes.
This Freebie includes the record sheet for the month of May. You can find record sheets for all the months by visiting my store and searching for "Homework Reading Time Record Sheets" at:
