Students familiarize themselves with Spanish-language press (print or online) to summarize a recent article, acquire new vocab, and express opinions. I usually assign this homework at the beginning of the week, and students informally present (share) their current event in class at the end of the week. Peers can comment and ask follow-up questions exclusively in the target language. We learn new words, identify grammar, and consider current events. Easy-to-grade rubric included!
