Do your students constantly ask you what homework assignments are missing? Do you dread keeping track of homework assignments and due dates? Use this homework stamp sheet to help you!
Why this is helpful: Give students and parents a visual way to track student homework assignments.
Directions: At the start of each class (maybe during a warm-up) check students' homework assignments for completion. Before you come around your your stamp, make sure students copy down into their stamp sheet box, the number of assignments being checked, the title(s), and the date.
Tips: You may also want to keep a log somewhere handy for absent students. Students will never need to bother you to ask what assignments they are missing again!
Variation: You may give out one stamp for the assignment OR two (for being on time and complete.) Students often have multiple assignments due and cannot get them all done on time. Having each assignment worth two stamps give students time to catch up. I often say all late work is due by the end of the stamp sheet. This also makes giving a homework so easy since everything is in one place!
