A homework stamp sheet is a great way to keep track of students' homework. Each time there is a homework assignment due, I go around the room and give the students two stamps. One stamp goes on the assignment itself, and the other goes on the stamp sheet.
I typically collect the stamp sheet on quiz/test dates, and enter in their scores (each stamp = 5 points). As a part of my personal homework policy, I do not accept late work, however I do give each student a "freebee". The "freebee" allows students to not get penalized if they forget one assignment. However, they only get ONE "freebee" per quarter/stamp sheet, once it's gone it is gone.
