Have your students broaden their use of vocabulary words. In this activity students are given a card. Make sure to have the companion cards. Place the list of homographs up in the room or on the overhead so that students can narrow down their choice of vocabulary. Students search for a card that uses the word in a different way. Students then have to infer the word the sentence or phrase in order to find another way their word can be used. Share the word and their meanings.
