This is a set of 40 task cards and a mystery picture to practice three easily confused words: There, their, they're, too, to, two, and then, than. Students will read the sentences and then choose the word that best completes the sentences. They record their answers on the answer sheet provided.
I have also provided note cards for these words as a quick reference for the students.
My students love task cards. We use them in literacy centers and as things to do when they are done. I let the students work in pairs to complete the cards. I laminate them and give the students a wet-erase marker to record their answers on a laminated sheet. I have them use a paper answer sheet if they are struggling so that I can have a more permanent copy of the answers so that I have time to go over it with them later. I also let my students play Bingo using the task cards. I have provided materials for students to play Bingo with the cards. They can write the numbers 1 - 40 in a random order on their Bingo cards. They shuffle the cards and as they answer the questions, they can cover the numbers they have until they get five in a row. They can play multiple rounds.
