This is a fun little center activity for use in Grade 2, 3, and 4 classrooms that allows for students to practice the skill of identifying correct homophones when used in sentence context.
To set up, print a master copy of all pages. Run them through your copier front to back (I would recommend cardstock) and laminate. Then punch holes through both circles on the front of each card.
When setup is complete, students read the sentences and identify the correct homophone to use in each sentence. They poke the end of their pencil through the hole in the front of the card to choose an answer. Leaving their pencil in place, they look to the backside of each card to find out if their answer is correct. This will make an excellent independent center activity or partner game with students testing each other on the skills.
There are 30 cards total in the set and they require very little prepwork and can be used over and over again! Enjoy!
