This 54-slide PowerPoint is a step-by-step presentation that teaches students about homophones. It also provides plenty of practice slides.
The background slides are written in various ways:
Question Set 1: Students see a picture and choose the correctly spelled homophone that matches the picture (slides 20-26).
Question Set 2: A sentence is written at the top of the slide, and students identify the words that are homophones in the sentence (slides 27-34).
Question Set 3: A sentence is written with a blank. Students identify which is the correct spelling of the homophone that goes in the blank (slides 35- 42).
Example: My mom ______ her hair.
Question Set 4 uses the following pattern (slides 43- 54):
Which sentence is written correctly?
A. The police officer read the man his rights.
B. Ken rights notes to his grandparents often.
THIS POWERPOINT INCLUDES A COMPANION WORKSHEET. STUDENTS CAN RECORD THEIR ANSWERS AS THEY FOLLOW ALONG ON THEIR OWN WORKSHEET!
Check out the preview! (But remember, the preview is in a PDF format, and the product is truly an interactive PowerPoint with full animation.)
This PowerPoint is fully animated so that you only advance when the teacher clicks the mouse.
This PowerPoint cannot be edited due to the copyright requirements made by the contributing artists (clip art, font, background).
