Scoot is a fun whole class activity that can be used in lots of different ways. If you haven’t played it before, give it a go! Instructions on how to play are included in this file. You can also use the question cards as task cards for small group work or an early finisher activity.
This version of Scoot is all about the homophones ‘to, too and two’. Students must choose the correct homophone to complete the sentence. This game has 26 question cards, a student response sheet and answer key. It also includes a handy reference chart that explains the meaning of each word and provides examples for students. You could enlarge to A3 size and hang in your classroom, or reduce the size and make for individual students on a needs basis. The word ‘two’ has been represented visually with two ice-creams in the ‘w’. This may help some students visualise the word and remember the spelling in a creative way. My class loved it!
Thanks for dropping by!
