This resource supports the correct use of frequently confused words (e.g., to, too, two; there, their) and promotes students’ understanding that there is a relationship between particular words, specifically homophones.
The task cards in this product are aligned with the fourth grade CCSS ELA-Literacy.L.4.1 and the fifth grade CCSS ELA - Literacy.L.5.5.
This packet includes 24 colorful task cards and an identical set in black and white for teachers that do not have access to colored ink. There is also a title card and student instruction card along with a recording sheet and answer key.
To use this product, print and cut the task cards apart. Instruct students to read the sentence, identify and write the correct homophone on their answer sheet. A plain sheet of paper may also be used to record students’ work.
