Homophone Word Wall! This is a set of 24 Homophone Word Wall Cards to help your students remember how to use and spell frequently confused words! There are 2 cards for each homophone with a sentence and picture to help remember it. I've also included a blank template so students can make their own homophone cards to add to the wall.

This set of Homophone Cards includes:
• 24 Homophone Cards (48 altogether) with the different spelling of the word on each side along with a sentence and visual/clue to help remember it to post on a word wall or bulletin board.
• The same 24 Homophone Word Wall Cards with the words on them but blank spaces for students to draw their own picture and room to use the word in their own sentences.
• Blank templates that students can use to add more homophones to as they come across them in their discussions, experiences, or studies.

The 24 homophones covered in these cards are: affect/effect, than/then, which/witch, here/hear, are/our, buy/bye/by, accept/except, weather/whether, there/their/they’re, to/too/two, your/you’re, bare/bear, one/won, break/brake, compliment/complement, aloud/allowed, lie/lay, its/it’s, capital/capitol, principle/principal, eight/ate, die/dye, dear/deer, through/threw

Ideas For Using This Product: Print and post them on a homophone word wall or bulletin board. You can also have students fill out the blank cards in literacy centers, small groups, with partners, parent volunteers, etc. to display in the classroom. Some teachers prefer to post the filled out homophone cards in their classroom and then have students replace them with their own pictures and sentences as an early finisher activity.

Common Core Standards addressed in the activity:
• CCSS.ELA-LITERACY.L.4.4: Determine or clarify the meaning of unknown and multiple-meaning words and phrases based on grade 4 reading and content, choosing flexibly from a range of strategies.
CCSS.ELA-LITERACY.L.4.1.G: Correctly use frequently confused words (e.g., to, too, two; there, their).
