As a teacher who believes that the more memorable you make a concept, the better it sticks, I created this slideshow for use in my own third grade class and they loved it!
This is a monster-truck themed Powerpoint that teaches students in second through fourth grades,, the correct use of the words to, too and two. It’s also perfect for home-schooled and ELL students. It’s engaging, bright and cheerful. There’s plenty of animations and a funny storyline for boys and girls to follow.
The Powerpoint consists of an explanation of the correct usage of each word, followed by a ten question interactive quiz. The “special guests” that arrive in the monster trucks at the end of the slideshow are Yoda and Darth Vader along with a little “peekaboo” from R2D2 (my kids loved that part). It’s lots of fun and the entire activity serves as a sort of “mentor presentation” that you can refer students back to should they need a refresher.
The boys loved it and the girls thought it was very funny! A win-win for everyone! I’ve included a Star Wars themed practice page for students to complete after the lesson.
The final slide of the Powerpoint is a digital anchor chart you can leave up for students to refer to while completing the worksheet.
Please note that the preview does not display the animations that are included in the Powerpoint.
The zip file includes
• the Powerpoint itself
• the student worksheet that compliments the ppt
• a pdf of the slideshow for teacher’s reference

Thank you so much for visiting my store. I hope your students enjoy this slideshow as much as my kids did! Slide #23 was their favorite!
The product in the zip file is a “Powerpoint Show” and if you are using an older version (e.g. 2003) of Powerpoint, it may not display as nicely as it should. If that’s the case, please email me with proof of purchase and I’ll send you a more compatible version.
