Many principals over the years have asked what I do to generate high test scores in vocabulary. It's essentially repeated exposure to a variety of vocabulary words. I do this through a few rigorous activities. This activity, HOMOPHONES, requires students to match up the homophones with their definitions at the bottom of the page. I ask students to do as many of them without the use of resources. Afterwards, students may use any resource to find the answers to this activity.
