Your students will enjoy this homophone craftivity! Plus, it makes a great bulletin board display, hall display, or addition to interactive notebooks! They begin by reading a text message from a friend, asking them to help them study for their test by sending them sentences that use an underlined homophone in a different way.
Then students read a sentence containing an underlined homophone "sent" by their friend.
When they think of the other way to spell/use the homophone, they "text" their friend back a sentence.
This comes with complete directions that you can just place under your doc camera, and your students can refer to it as they complete the project. An answer key is included as well!
This product also has a differentiation component. There is a more challenging version for advanced students or students in upper grades. There is also a "beginning" version for younger students or ELL's with limited language levels.
