Product Description
Teach homophones with this engaging hands-on resource. This bundle includes seven days of mini lessons, anchor charts, class games with recording sheets, an interactive notebook page, task cards, puzzles, a craft, and a quick assessment. This is a complete hands-on mini unit that will add fun and excitement to your classroom.

I am a believer in a hands-on approach to teaching. Students learn when they are deeply engaged in the learning process. But, what does it mean to be hands-on in reading class? From my experience with reading instruction, my students learn best when they are reading, talking about what they are reading, conversing with their friends, moving, and involved in deep discussion. Students learn so much from each other and I believe that a reading classroom should be anything but silent.

Included in this unit:
-Seven days of lesson plans/mini lessons
-Anchor chart ideas
-Multiple Meaning Words Printable {Select a homophone, use the homophone in two sentences, illustrate each sentence}
-Interactive Notebook Page
-Match Up Homophone Game with Recording Sheet (Students must walk around the classroom to find the partner who has their matching homophone. They work together to write and illustrate their sentences.)
-Homophone Task Cards and Recording Sheet (I tape the task cards around my classroom and students walk around to complete their recording sheets.)
-Homophone Puzzles (These puzzles can be use in a center but I like to play the game with my whole class. Every child gets a puzzle piece and they must work together to complete their puzzle.
