These cards can be used for students to practice the most common homophones in the context of a sentence. In groups of two, each student has a copy and takes turns choosing a sentence to read aloud to their partner, asking the correct spelling for the homonym that is underlined and bolded. If correct, the caller marks the first letter or initials of the student that spelled it correctly. If incorrect, leave blank and return to that same sentence during another turn. When time is up, the student with the most correct spellings wins the game. *Don't forget to remind students they must SAY APOSTROPHE when spelling THEY'RE.
