Included is a weekly study of homophones. There are 2-4 homophones per week, and there are enough homophones to cover 12 weeks. Each pair of homophones has a coordinating practice sheet and quiz. Each quiz spirals the previously taught homophones. For each homophone, there is a chevron word wall card that has the definition. Most cards also include a picture, which is perfect for English language learners.
The homophones covered are:
Their, They’re, There
To/ two/ too
your and you’re
In my class, I introduce the homophones for the week and hang up the word wall cards. We complete the practice page together, and the students take it home to study. Then I give a quiz the following Friday.
