PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Honesty, a school counseling/character education lesson offers a mini book which provides a great opportunity to study the character of George Washington and Abraham Lincoln both known for the attribute of honesty. A mini honesty poster and 2 additional posters with quotes from Lincoln and Washington are included. The folding book asks students to write their own definition of honesty. A set of honesty synonym cards can be copied, laminated and bound together and can be used by students when writing their definitions. Synonym cards can be placed in a writing center for use by 3rd and 4th grade students. Younger students can be guided to write a simple sentence about honesty and express their ideas about honesty by drawing a picture of themselves being honest.
Also included are 2 short stories about Washington and Lincoln demonstrating their honesty. Recently added finger puppet activity allows students to create their own finger puppets and use the puppets to retell the stories about Abe and George.
