The Honeycomb Alphabet has been designed as a fun and flexible classroom resource to promote literacy learning in the early primary years. When printed and laminated, the Honeycomb Alphabet can be used for ordering the alphabet, practicing CVC words and the Oxford 100 Wordlist, as well as function as an engaging spelling activity for both independent/small group literacy rotations. Both uppercase and lowercase letters are included in this resource in NSW Foundation Type.
Concrete manipulatives, such as bumblebee figurines, are encouraged to be used in conjunction with this resource, with students kinaesthetically placing the bumblebee upon each letter as it is decoded. However, a printable one has been included for your convenience.
