Let your students have fun by HOOKING, STACKING, READING, and GLUING the Dolch Primer words (all, am, are, at, ate, be, black, brown, but, came, did, do, eat, four, get, good, have, he, into, like, must, new, no, now, on, our, out, please, pretty, ran, ride, saw, say, she, so, soon, that, there, they, this, too, under, want, was, well, went, what, white, who, will, with, yes). I use these when a student needs extra reinforcement with a small group of words.
Simply print the included unfix word labels (page 6 in the packet) on a full label sheet, cut out, and then place each one on a unfix cube. A cute label is also on that page if you want to attach it to a baggie or other container to store your word cubes. I put mine on the front of a plastic 5-drawer organizer set.
Students build either a 5-cube or 8-cube tower depending upon how many words need extra review. We read them top to bottom, bottom to top, rearrange them and read them again. They can either glue the printed word squares on their tower activity sheet OR simply write them directly in the blank squares on their sheet (which I discovered I like best).
A page with blank squares is also included in this packet if you want to use a different set of words.
This can be used one-on-one with a student or place in a center.
