This is a fun mini-unit where students learn about the different types of hooks and practice writing hooks during writing time. Included is a 3 page student chart that explains direct types of hooks that writers use, definitions of each hook and an example of the specific type of hook from actual books. Perfect for teaching students how to choose good books based on HOOKS and also inspiration for writing hooks.
~5 book hooks are given on each page with book title and author
~Students have to determine what type of book hook the author used
