The student then fills in each box with a different kind of hook for their story (onomatopoeia, dialogue, description of setting, description of character, foreshadowing, and series of three). Each kind of hook is defined in student friendly language. Lastly, the student writes how he/she will address the topic of the prompt in their introduction.
