A perfect lesson to celebrate Dr. Seuss and Read Across America Day and for celebrating diversity, building self-esteem, learning about adjectives, and practicing dictionary skills! Great lesson for classroom teachers, librarians, and school counselors!
Students will list adjectives that describe themselves and then create their own word. (like Dr. Seuss did many times to help his stories rhyme) They will complete a dictionary entry for their new word.
Included: color and black & white activity pages, example page
This would make a very engaging bulletin board!
