Start the year out on a hopeful note by having students think up hopes and dreams for themselves! This activity is perfect for back to school time! Whether you follow the Responsive Classroom approach or just want to start the school year off on the right foot, this activity is sure to get the student's thinking about goal setting, hopes and dreams.
I love reading a book or two to inspire my new students before we begin the writing portion. There is a list of book suggestions also included.
Choose one of two options:
*PDF version: 3 girls and 3 boys, as well as a blank one for you to attach a photo of the student. You can print them on colored paper or white paper and have the kids color it in.
*PowerPoint Editable Slide: You are able to insert text at the top (i.e. (Student’s name) Hopes and Dreams). You can also easily insert a photo into the document.
You can let the kids write about their hopes and dreams for the school year or beyond! It would make a great back to school/first day of school bulletin board!
