This is a student response guide for Horrible Harry and the Dragon War. This is great to use in small groups, literature circles, or in a whole group setting. Students must find vocabulary words for each chapter by finding the missing word and then defining it. There are comprehension questions for each chapter targeting different DOK thinking levels. Students can cut and paste into a response journal. Students would complete this at their desks while I met with other groups, and then I would use the vocabulary and questions for our discussion when we met together as a group. I have used this for my lower readers when I taught fifth grade and for my higher readers when I have taught first grade.
