This interactive, cross-curricular book study using Suzy Klein's "Horrible Harry at Halloween" always creates excitement among my students. As we read the book together in whole class, small group, and individual situations, the children progressively respond to their reading through writing and drawing. We focus on ten vocabulary words from the story and try to use these as we write. This packet includes instructions, patterns for the progressive step book, vocabulary activity, and an assessment page which can be easily differentiated for student needs. Finally, it includes a science recording sheet for three science experiments directly from the book. Have Fun!
