Unit 4: Preparing for the Open House is part four of a four-part semester project created to meet NASAFACS standards for the Hospitality and Tourism program. Unit four allows students to understand the Travel Agent's role in promoting a travel tour through the final stage of bringing the clients together for an Open House. The unit includes a lesson on the benefits of tour travel, Activity Sheet for students to price attractions, Travel Agent Fact Sheet to budget for air, lodging, and meals, and an Advertising Flyer to promote their tour. Samples and rubrics are provided.
