This activity is perfect for many times throughout the year...
-Beginning of the Year to Goal Set
-In the New Year to Goal Set
-Celebrate during Read Across America Week
-Reflect on the Year at the end of the school year
It is suggested that students brainstorm their dreams and aspirations after reading Dr. Seuss' "Oh! The Places You'll Go!"
Students will write about several goals they have and how they plan to accomplish them. The craft has students decorate several balloons (approximately 3-4), and if desired, a picture of the student can be taken and added to the final product. The balloons are pasted together and a 3D effect takes place, while the student "hangs on" for a wild ride accomplishing their goals!
You are given a variety of balloon templates to choose from. Templates prompt students about goals they have in particular areas of life to specific school subjects.
-Specific areas of school to goal set for (reading, math, PE)
-Different aspects of life (sports, family, music).
-General prompts (future career, goals for the current year, a place you'd like to visit)
2 versions of the templates are included:
Balloons with full page lines, &
balloons with ½ page lines to leave a drawing space.
