First set of cards
Directions: Print minimal pairs phonology cards and game cards on cardstock and laminate for durability. The object of the game is to collect the most hot chocolate cards. Students practice their target words that are on the marshmallows when they pick a hot chocolate card. If you get whipped cream, you take an extra turn. Extra chocolate from mom lets you steal a card from another player. Ouch! Burned your tongue! Put 1 card back.

Variation: Student vs. therapist. If the student can say his/her target sound on the minimal pair card, the student wins the hot chocolate card. If he/she says it incorrectly, the therapist wins the card. Whoever has the most cards is the winner.

Second set of game board cards:
Materials needed: die, bingo chips or some sort of token, and/or marshmallows to cover up the marshmallow words.

Directions: Print up as many game cards as you need per sound on cardstock and laminate for durability. Sounds included: k,g,f,s-blends, l, final consonants. Students take turns rolling the die. Whatever number they land on, they can either say a word the number of times on the die or pick a word from the third row and cover. The first player to cover all their marshmallow sounds wins.

Variation: Use these as bookmarks that they kids can take home for additional practice or use as a progress monitoring tool.
