One of the simplest tunes to start off with. Can be performed on any instrument, including the Boomwhackers. The noteheads are colour coded to match the Boomwhackers.
This sheet music has been presented as a "guess the song," kind of challenge. Blank lines have also been drawn to fill out the solfege notes along with the lyrics.
Perfect for students to co-relate between notes and syllables as well as between note values and solfege.
Students need to have prior knowledge of whole notes (semibreve) half notes (minim) and quarter notes (crotchet).
I usually run this with a trio of students with each student in charge of playing one note (with a boomwhacker or deskbell; doesn't translate well to a guitar or piano, of course). This helps in collaboration, especially if you have a fourth student pretending to "conduct" the music. Students love the delegation of roles and working as a small cohesive team.
High resolution pdf file that can be printed on A4 size paper. Translates well to grayscale too.
