Product Description
Looking for an Orff lesson that is a digital resource and will work on all interactive boards, tablets and web browsers? Your elementary music students will love the engaging activities and the interactive slides included in the lesson plan, the PowerPoint or Web version of the visuals. You will love that you can use the song and the Orff arrangement for a performance piece on a program or concert!

The traditional folk song has been extended with an original B section making it a perfect piece for a musical experience or a performance with your elementary music classes with or without soprano recorders.

Use the A section to work on playing BAG on the soprano recorder. The B section was written so my students could continue to practice reading and playing BAG on the recorder and be immediately successful. Adding the descant will allow for additional work with high C and D on the recorder. It is a perfect addition to your Orff and Kodaly curriculum.

The set of Lesson Plans and Interactive Visuals include:

• 7 lessons each 6-12 minutes (7 pdf pages) plus an Orff Orchestration. The lesson plans include detailed instructions for teaching the song, recorder, rhythm, melody, movement, form, descant and Orff Orchestration.

• 41 visuals (with 30 slides being teacher and/or student interactive) may be used to reinforce recorder playing and aurally identifying melodic patterns. You will have everything you need to teach all the lessons including teaching the descant part.

It is a perfect piece to address curricular concepts while enjoying making music. It is also a great spiraling activity. Teach “Hot Cross Buns” to your first year recorder players, along with the B section and bring it back the following year adding the descant. Or just use the lesson and ear training slides to teach the song “Hot Cross Buns”.

Feel free to check out the preview which is a sample of the PowerPoint version of the product. TpT has size restrictions on previews and I am unable to offer a preview of the Web Browser version of the product.
