Product Description

Woohoo! My first resource on TPT!

Like every other Music Teacher, one of the first songs I teach my beginning recorder students is Hot Cross Buns.

I specifically use this for 4th grade, but it works for any beginning recorder player.

One of my biggest goals as a music educator is to teach my students how to read music. On this worksheet, I break down the steps to reading music. As they're reading, I also want them to notice patterns in the music.

This is part of a larger resource, My Recorder Book, that I am still working on.

Follow me and stay tuned!

*Update: I've uploaded the Recorder Book onto my store. It's 22 pages and currently includes 16 songs. Each page has a different skill students work on. From learning new fingerings and music vocabulary, to counting rhythms and composing rhythmic compositions. Check it out here! Student Recorder Music Book
