Product Description
Students will explore using winter hats and take data to determine who has the hottest head. They will understand that our bodies burns energy in order to produce heat or keep warm. They will use thermometers to measure the heat from their head. They will also add materials or redesign their hats to determine who has the hottest head.

The kids love this activity.
Day 1-Have them show up with a hat. Measure and record the temperatures using a thermometer under their hat. Homework: Add anything you want to your hat to ensure you have the HOTTEST head.
Day 2: Repeat the experiment with the new and improved hat:) Measuring and recording temp.

The activities continue to determine who has the hottest head and to understand how temperature is measured and heat and energy are related. Happy Hat Day!
