The power point presentation, Hot! Hot! Hot! is a great way to preview or to review the basic information and vocabulary in a heat unit.
Vocabulary included in the power point includes: thermal energy, radiation, conduction, convection, insulator, and conductor.
The last slide is a review of information presented in the power point.
The power point is a fill in the blank format.
A separate student sheet is available for students to follow along and fill in the blanks with key vocabulary.
My students love this format and are very engaged when it is presented.
Look for Hot! student worksheets which follow the power point presentation and give the students the fill in the blank format to complete during the presentation. Page three of the worksheets includes the review information from the final slide and a section asking students to match information with types of heat transfer.
