Product Description
Students love competition! This Hot Seat Activity is a fun way to review the number of solutions for a system of linear equations given a graph or equations-- one solution, no solution, and infinitely many solutions.

Directions:Line up in your teams. The person at the back is in the “hot seat.”

The person in the back of the line has all of the answer cards. When a problem has been displayed, he/she selects the correct card to be passed forward.

As the answer card is passed to the front, everyone on the team must check to see if the card is correct.

If you disagree – WITHOUT talking you must pass the card backwards. If you agree – the first person in the line holds the card up for the teacher to see.

The team that holds up the correct card first, wins that round.

The person in the front of the row then moves to the “hot seat” and all the other team members move forward.

Repeat until you’ve completed all of the problems.
