Hot and Cold Sorting Game
Teach your students about opposites/antonyms and about hot and cold objects with this fun sorting game! I complete this activity with my students during circle time before I let them work on it independently at my science or math center. I have included a color version and a black and white version, which can be easily printed and colored to look like the color version, as well as a recording sheet to hold your students accountable for their work. There are two sorting mats, one for things that are hot and another for things that are cold. There are also 12 pictures of different things that are hot or cold for sorting practice. The cold items are: ice, ice cream, igloo, milk, snowflake and snowman. The hot items are: fire, hot chocolate, sun, soup, fireplace and beach. I hope you and your students enjoy this sorting game!
