Pages 3-5: Amazing Word Cards
Pages 6-10: Spelling Word and Challenge Word Cards
Pages 11-14: Word Wise (I print the word cards out and laminate them). Students choose six words from the word cards and write them down. Write a sentence using each of the irregular plurals. Write the singular form of each word card word you picked.
Pages 15-18: Word Work: (I print the word cards out and laminate them). Students write and pronounce seven word card words with irregular plurals and then use them in a sentence. Read each sentence you make to a partner.
Pages 19-20: Let’s Write! (I hang up the persuasive text poster to help students remember what persuasive text is). Students write two paragraphs persuading other students to read your favorite book.
Pages 21: Words To Know: Students find four unfamiliar words in a magazine or book. Look up their meanings and use each word in a sentence.
Page 22: Read For Meaning: Students read a Leveled Reader. Write a short paragraph that makes a generalization and supports it with facts from the text.
Page 23: I included a portion of Hottest, Coldest, Highest, Deepest for students to read for fluency.
