This is a fun way to have your students track their progress as they learn their sight words! You can print out the buggy for sight words ladybug to keep in their homework folder or guided reading folder for the students to color in their spots as they learn that Unit's sight words. This is a great way for students to communicate to their parents/guardians what sight words they know, and what words they still may need to practice.
You can also print and laminate the multi-colored and numbered ladybugs to display in your classroom or in the hallway. Students can then use an expo marker to color in the spot with the words they have learned or you may print, laminate, and magnetize/tape/or thumb tack the black spots that I have included in this packet and they can just cover their spot when they have learned that Unit's words.
This Houghton Mifflin Journeys 2014 and 2017 Kindergarten set includes:
*Ladybug tracker to be sent back and forth to home and school for parent communication
*Numbered 1-30 multi-colored ladybugs for classroom display for students to track the Unit words they have learned on
*Black spots for students to use to cover the word spots that they have mastered
(Please see the preview for a better understanding of how the Unit's words are placed in spots)
