This lesson builds on my other worksheet for taking inventory of items and rooms in your house. After students complete their house inventory as homework, you can begin the next class with a powerpoint that asks for student input to selected questions from the homework. Photocopy your class roster and number across the top 1-12. Poll 5-6 students on each question while classmates record their answers on the spread sheet. This activity takes about 30 minutes and students are listening and answering in Spanish the whole time! Then, follow up this activity by distributing the homework asking them to compare their own homes to the data they gathered. This lesson ties together household vocabulary with review concepts of comparisons, numbers, and colors. Works best with Spanish I or II after a couple of days in house vocabulary. Takes about one class period to explain, run powerpoint and model a couple answers for homework. Download is the powerpoint, Preview File is the homework at accompanies it.
